Today, in this inaugural post, you get to "Meet the Blogger". While many of you know a lot about me already, for those that do not here are some highlights. I have been an administrator in the Woodbury City Public School system for the past eight years with the last four here at Evergreen as principal. This means I have been an administrator for longer than most of my preschool, kindergarten, first, second, and third graders have been alive! This makes me feel a bit old (surely, a few teachers reading this will get a chuckle out of that comment). Over the years, I have had many of your older brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins in school as well; I know your parents and grandparents. Woodbury is such a small, interconnected community.
This blogger is blessed with a wonderful family - a spectacular wife and three rambunctious children. My two older children are in elementary school just like you! I am an avid reader, diehard NY Jets fan (don't hold it against me, I grew up in central NJ), and overall sports enthusiast. Fishing, camping, and skiing are all activities I thoroughly enjoy. ReplyDeleteI like to play basketball and football. My favorite basketball player is Lebron James and my favorite basketball team are the Cavaliers. Also my favorite football teams are the Seahawks and the Eagles. My favorite football player is Richard Sherman.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite basketball player growing up was Michael Jordan. You just knew that he would will the Bulls to win every time. Lebron is similar in that way.

ReplyDeleteWhen I'm not in school, I love to play outside with my family. We play sports, ride bikes or go to the playground. When it gets too cold, we like to read books together. Our favorite book series right now: Magic Tree House
ReplyDeleteMy family loves to do volunteer work and give back to others. We all find ways to help at Hopeworks n Camden, which helps youth learn to build websites and get tutoring. We also help the homeless in Philadelphia through a running group called Back on My Feet. Giving back to others give us rewards we could never imagine!

ReplyDeleteI used to love to paint, write poetry and travel. Now that I am a mom and wife I do not travel like I used to and haven't painted in forever. I hope as my kids get older to delve back into those old talents and rediscover them. I truly enjoy spending quality time with my kids and making memories. Trying new experiences as a family.
